Sweet Caroline

Sweet Caroline

A Poem by DreadfulBride

Sweet Caroline
Welcome, welcome to my shoppe!
dear heart whats your pleasure?
I am sure within these walls
we shall find your treasure!
candied apples and bubble gum?
a book, slippers and spiced hot rum?
kitchen sweets made of heart?

Profound deep seeded stuff... ?
yes, yes that is a start!
hmm my, my, trivialities are across the way!
careful there, the devil to pay!
are you certain that will do not do?
come then, to the back room with you!
bottles and jars, boxes and envelops,
scrolls and sacks, purse and racks
yes, yes look around have but a care,
potions and poisons be aware!
not all is dark at night, not all is light in the morning
now, careful there less the heart greets scorning!
sugars and treats, yes, yes come and welcome,
welcome to my heart sweet Caroline!

About
Beware the seductive muse. Whispered of half truths she imbues. My work, not all is dark at night. Not all is light in the morning. It is all about expression and sight. Get it right, less.. more..
