Tears of Time

 

Watch as they trace

Tracks down my face;

Watch as they trickle

Down the side of my chin;

Watch as they fall

Helplessly to the ground.

Watch as tears of time

Drown in sorrow;

As tears of time

Sink in pain;

Watch as tears of time

Drift on by in a river of misery.

Watch as the rain

Consumes those tears,

Leaving no traces of them behind.

Watch as the rain

Washes away the grief

As the tears of time dry…

I can feel this one just tug on the heart, So well written and expressed.

There is such a sadness.. a voice that drifts down in anguish... and yet.. your last words.. and the rain... release a sort of healing.. Beautifully expressed.
