Betray-er

Betray-er

A Poem by Jost
"

Is it OK to write poetry in a language that isn't mine? Am I ignoring my own language by doing so?

"
Ranting with
this jargon,
did I - dropped
my own?

Scribing with
far-off words,
did I - blow
my nub?

Judas
myself,
quasi-fink
author.

No!

Author's Note

Jost
I used to write a lot of poetry in Spanish, especially in my teens, and I recently decided to restart that but in English. However, a little voice in my head said to me that I'm betraying my language by doing so. This is a simple declaration of that feeling, although I already understood the nonsense behind that feeling: Art isn't limited by language but benefited!
