Beauty of Alone

Beauty of Alone

A Poem by Jqjohnson

The western sky is getting dark
Time for me to feed the sharks
Why won't she let me leave

It's about time to hit the road
She's got her grip on me
Why won't she let me leave

Going for a drive
Going for a drive
Just a little drive

Need to clear my head
Get her out of bed
Why won't she let me leave

I want to be alone
Just me and the Lizard King
Driving down the road

Going for a drive
Going for a drive
Just a little drive

Dark road under a blackened sky
It makes me feel alive
She finally let me leave

The nighttime makes me whole
And the music heals my soul
That's the beauty of alone

Going for a drive
Going for a drive
Just a little drive

I'm back home and alive

A part of it is a mystery, and I like that. We don't know who 'she' is, nor what the back-story is - yet, it's an extraordinary piece. Way to go!
