A sun in my sky

My flight went unnoticed. 

Ignorant should you be, 

I wane from idiocracy. 

A traitor, a liar, a mock. 

An apple, a star, a man. 

I flew too high, 

My efforts plummet. 

For I wait to wax again, 

I long for the sun. 

I try to reach for nothing,

Knowing we’ll never be. 

Imagine should I see, 

You have never been anew. 

You are like me, 

Not in the way I like you.
