Death’s Note of Collateral Damage

Death’s Note of Collateral Damage

A Poem by Layla J Omorose

Deaths Note of Collateral Damage

Deaths Note of collateral damage of joyful noise.

Bucket list of all those, of all that will be, of all that is.

Purple rose skies play out against blackened window sills

That harbor great secrets of forbidden temptation.

Where orange kissed skin plays with tight lipped dolls

And mountains move to the immortal call of forever.

Seamless skirts ponder the waves of nothingness

Where little ribbons twirl on the tips of aging cigarette budded fingers.

Grey whiskers encompass golden haired boys while swimming in the shallow lake.

Forgotten dreams painted black.

Streaked across pale, happy faces

Laughter is pains pleasure center.

Where we work in a non-stop bitterness

Mothers of childless phantoms.

Insatiable cherry flavored appetites

Printed on the sacred veil,

Deemed pure by luxurys blessings.

A little random, there is no rhyme, but what message can you get from it. I didn't think about this poem just wrote the first lines that came off the top of my head. Enjoy

There is a lot of collateral damage for our sinful actions. An excellent poem... :).....

Makes me think of how there are people suffering and yet others pretend it is not happening by going about their shallow lives without regret.

"Forgotten dreams painted black.

Laughter is pain’s pleasure center.

Where we work in a non-stop bitterness"~ My perception of this: Is that of an unfinished dream, goal, resolution, or relationship...at the end of one's life, never finishing the bucket list....

Intriguing write!
