Lilies are beautiful

 

Lilies are beautiful,

Just like the disfigured face of adultery,

Their petals are soft and colorful,

Like the hands of abusive husbands,

Dancing poetically along the river’s edge,

Guided by beguiling lies.

 

Lilies are beautiful,

When their stems are twisted and snapped,

Like the souls of broken women,

Swaying in the wind,

Their lives are filled with harmonious laughter,

Just like the wails of dying infants.

 

Lilies are disgustingly beautiful,

And their petals are fragile,

Marred by horrific colors,

As they dance along the river’s jagged edge in chaotic rhythm.

 

But,

Lilies are beautiful,

And I hate them so.

haha, I guess you do hate them, I thought this would be a beautiful poem about flowers but I was mistaken lol Your words make it sound pretty even if it's not a pretty subject you were talking about. You did a great job showing how you hate the lilies before stating you hate them.
