The Judgment day

The Judgment day

A Poem by Y.F.

This is a song about a crow,

When he was born he couldn’t know

How his image soon will be

The so called symbol of misery,

Because a crow - he has a “tick”:

To eat the dead, the stiff as stick.

He only does it to survive,

It’s his nature, it’s his strive,

And when we look upon the crow,

We must judge, say so and so,

Link him to the dead, or if you will -

Look at him as if HE made the kill.

Judge not the crow, judge not your brother,

For every being is different than the other.

When you’ll see him one day dead,

You’ll regret what you have said,

For when the crow becomes “as stick”

No one come his bones to pick.

Had some spare time today, so here's the second piece I've decided to upload.
It was written recently (I'm not really sure exactly when).
Let me know if you think there's a better genre for it, because I couldn't find one.

Oh and of course - share your thoughts..

I really liked the imagery here and the message. The rhythm is great too. Makes me feel bad about using an image of a crow in one of my poems... oh well.

You did it again. What the hell?

"It's you who creates your path. Think of Robert Frost. You know, angel, that quote? The one about the road less traveled? I want you to do that. Your family is who they are. They've screwed up and they've made mistakes. They're in and out of prison. They treat you like s**t. Baby, you don't have to be like that. Just because you share a name doesn't mean you share a spirit; a personality. You're you. No matter who you look like, who you're named after, who you live with... you're you, and you're my baby. Be different. People may judge you beforehand, but if they take two seconds to see that you're different, you'll stand out of that 'statistic' zone. You'll be you. And I love you." -- James William

Happy? I remembered that whole conversation. That whole monologue he did about me when I was down about who my family was. Gah... great write though.
