Belief

Not (only) about religion

There's nothing at all

that can really disproof

what you consider

the true face of truth

 

The Bible, The Koran

or The Spaghetti Monster

your belief in yourself

or belief in another

 

Many wars were fought

over what people believed

but just think for a second

how much we've achieved

 

In one way or another

we owe our great progress

to something bigger than science

without inventors or owners

 

Belief may sometimes

have a mind of it's own

but without this belief

we would all be gone

 

So respect the belief

of your neighbors and friends

and explore the beliefs

of far away lands

 

If we all work together

there's nothing we can't achieve

all that is left

is for us all to believe

I'm not a religious person.
Light years away from being one.
But I do respect other people, their beliefs and the right to practice their beliefs as long as it doesn't harm others.

In every public place and religious house (of whatever religion) your piece should be hanging framed on the wall for everyone should hold to that.
Respect one the other whatever skin color, religion, car, house, ... for the worth of their being - not for what they believe in or have...

Wonderful and very thought provoking write. I just hope more people would believe in respect and the qualities of others ... So much pain and losses could be prevented if only we - on an individual picture as well as on a national and international picture could reach out our hand instead of a gun ...
