(Never Be) Resolved

(Never Be) Resolved

A Poem by Y.F.
"

Sometime you need to let go.

"
On the windowsill she's sitting,
listens as her heart stops beating,
buzzing bees are running through her hair:
What could have been, and what still should,
and if by chance she only could
those questions asked would never be resolved.

And you know she's still thinking
about times they were kissing
on the porch a few meters away.
And you know she's been crying,
that she feels worse than dying,
the door was slammed upon her house of cards.

She's been spending sleepless nights
in endless thoughts of endless fights,
wishing she could take them all away.
Down on her knees she prays forgiveness:
"Help me god" and "Help me Jesus",
those silent prayers will never be resolved.

And you know she's been lying,
as her loved ones were prying,
telling them that everything's ok.
And you know she's been writing
about loves so inviting,
her knight in shining armor has no horse.

On the window she's still marking
little hearts with names, so sparking,
wishing they could stay forever more.
Building hopes on shattered dreams,
as time goes on the more it seems,
her agony would never be resolved.

And you know she'll freak out,
if you'll tell her about
the new girl he's been seeing for some time.
A fairytale is nice,
in real life there must be a price.
The past will only get you down,

I'm begging you - it's over, just move on.
