Potions

Potions

A Poem by Judy Ponceby
"

A silly ditty for my friends daughter...

"
Green Frog Legs,
Alligator Scale.
Rattlesnake skin
Mixed in a Pail.

Dust of fairy,
Drool of Troll.
Gather the magic
Read the scroll.

Stir three times
Round and round.
Drink it down
Three ounces and a pound.

Fall right over!
Try to get a grip.
From squatty toad child
To Nymph-like slip.

Wonderful! I'm sure she loved it as much as the little girl inside me (from long ago) loved it. :)

Even without the "eye of newt", this sounds like a powerful potion--at least good enough to entertain that little girl.

You are fun! I did not see or read the first version, but what you did here worked! The witches stew, never did care for it, but you make me want to try it just for the buzzzzzzzzzzz!

I'm fairly certain--back in the seventies--I drank a similar potion. Have yet to fully come to my senses.
You are extremely adept at creating humorous fantasy and children's fairy tales--and, by that I mean, you may be better at it than anyone on two websites.
No puffed-up compliment; just fact.

I like the movement of words. You could make a interesting potion with the mix in this poem. Thank you for the fun poem to read.
