Mind Demon

Mind Demon

A Poem by Judy Ponceby

Previous Version
This is a previous version of Mind Demon.

The crystalline chandalier
swaying above my head,
careens wildly to and fro.

Like a whirling pinwheel
on fire,
illuminating bizarre patterns
in the shadowed lane.

My mind too twirls about
madly, seeking answers.
Seeking a way to overcome
this dark demon
haunting my mind with
its whispers.

I call it my politically incorrect side :) huge visuals for a poem short in words...really good Judy.

I so understand the sentiment of this work. Your layout is really good as it provoked me through.
I really appreciate this piece in it's minimalistic state as I find it off-putting when there are many unnecessary connective words.
This just rolls. Love it thank you

Sweet write. I chuckled. Sounds like he wants to stay inside your mind. I suggest you keep him there.

You too, eh?
Due to your vivid portrayal, the reader is placed right in the middle of it.
Lyrical, flows nicely--very well-done.
A little unsettling, Judy.
