The Abode

The Abode

A Poem by Judy Ponceby
"

For Creative Poetry

"
Creeping about
in the shadows
a ghastly and repugnant
creature
haunts the corners
in sinister deception.

Less than transparent panes
give an ominous feel
to this seemingly
abandoned shell.

Many a child has paused,
fear seizing them
like cold fingers around their throats,
only then to run, to run home to their
warm sanctuary
from all things evil.

Avoiding,
through extrasensory
knowledge,
the
creature
invoking the dread
in their innocent
hearts.

This one might give me bad dreams. Ooooo, creepy it is. I don't know how the others did with those words, but I doubt they beat this.

Aww now this leave enough to the imagination to make it frightful. Creatures that scare children are not good. You have used these words well and made a very creative poem. Well done.

Another word bank entry, and again you take us to school and show us how it is done! Bravo I am glad you are posting more again.
