flutter

A Poem by Judy Ponceby

Previous Version
This is a previous version of flutter.

Feathers flutter.

Opaque to morning light.
Spread full to land
on open fingertips.

Accepting Nature's gift
of acknowledgement
by one of Mother Earth's own.

The barest suggestion of
nature's design
in the form,
the flutter,
the timid acceptance.

Life indeed is fragile
and awesome,
in its truest sense.

Reviews

I like flutterbys...my heart flutters...I keep hoping it will just stop. I've seen enough to know I'd be better off. Life is fragile...but it's way over rated. JUst my feelings right now.
