Dancing in White

Dancing in White

~~~
A whisper breaks the silent night
as soft cascades, brilliant and bright
send shimmers of warm diamond light
dancing in white, dancing in white
Like falling stars just shooting by
lacy glitter lights up the sky
with such beauty to dress the eye
a tear may cry, a tear may cry
As the night sky begins to glow
a snow angel appears below
wings flutter in the fallen snow
a gorgeous show, a gorgeous show
And as she twirls in graceful stance
a melody sweet as romance
seems to play and to enhance
this lovely dance, this lovely dance
I catch my breath, but not with fright
as soft whispers create a sight
to send my heart this snowy night
dancing in white, dancing in white
~~~

Me too! :) Julie
As peaceful as watching a snowglobe, allowing the self to be placed in an alternate reality...soft and decadent, you weave a magical land through your words hon x

Thanks again Poppy! :) Julie
I hear this as a song in my head, possibly using an instrumentation that includes glass armonica or some crystal instruments. It feels like a place where all is snow and ice, with the lone dancer at the center. It could almost be a music box or snowglobe in my mind!

Dancing in white, dancing in white.
I think this could very well be a song, maybe a dance electric song. I can just imagine it being sung by Oceanlab (mostly because that's who I'm listening to as I read this.
Well done, most enchanting!

This is so graceful and ethereal, like that first snowfall, floats off the page like an angel into the heart...gorgeous Julie. :-)

Getting snow at the moment, so it's fitting, although I like your poem better!
It's really good but I think the last two stanzas can use work The verse about a melody as sweet as romance then you rhyme with enhance. Enhance isn't a romantic word and the imagery of imagining a romantic song playing isn't very magical. But it's a really good poem and cam be great with some work
