Yesterday's Rain

Yesterday's Rain

You knew me by heart

                                            and I loved you first

You touched me in the dark

no sun,

                          moon,

                                       nor starlight was needed

your eyes were covered with my words

my dreams with your fantasy

on a pillow, scented with desire

you found the place

                                 where winds rise

                                                and flowers burn…

Your love rained upon me

                                  silk to my skin

I caught every raindrop

                selfishly

                                 quenching my thirst

Touch me..

                                  like yesterday’s rain

and let the winds stir

as we recite each others poetry

and I will feel you

deep in my soul as you move me

I am free

I am a goddess

I run through a garden of flowers

                    passion blooming grace

 I am a quiver

                                wet in your rain

            and you will remember…

You knew me by heart

                                              and I loved you first

Amazing words.
"I am free
I am a goddess
I run through a garden of flowers
passion blooming grace
I am a quiver
wet in your rain
and you will remember…"

Nice imagery, very descriptive. I love the last part of your poem! It sounds amazing how you start and end the poem with the same lines. Pretty much, I love the passion with which your poem is written. You have some grammar issues, though. You could add after "no sun" "no moon". "Nor starlight" is grammatically incorrect. It would be "no starlight". And when you say "we read each others poetry" remember that its other's. Keep on writing! :)

Always a pleasure!!
sometimes in this life we are blessed with someone who can find that special place in our heart where not only love resides, but where passion reigns free.. the unbelievable power over our mind, body, and soul and the magnitude of pleasure that can result is limitless.. the depth of emotion wrapped up into this connection not only feeds our soul, but once separated can torment relentlessly.. I feel all the different layers woven in this steamy enchanting write my friend.. one burns hot with desire, one warms with gentle caress, and one stings with frosty longing... as always you touch me with your beautiful words..

Very honest emotion from start to finish. When someone knows you through and through and accepts you for who you really are, there is no better feeling in the world. "touch me like yesterday's rain"... memories wash over us at the most surprising times. Written from your heart, Julie. Lydi**

Thank you for your lovely comment Jacob. I'm thrilled you enjoyed my poem :) Julie
This is a much nicer way of saying "You oughta know" to a person who the speaker longs for but their love was not to be for one reason or another. A lovely verse as always, and the form and font are very nie as well.
