Had The Sun Not Set

Had The Sun Not Set

A Poem by MsJewel
"

~ would have, could have...should have? ~

Yes, we would have kissed

if he had been mine…

In Augusts’ warm mist

when ripe on the vine

were strawberries sweet

and luscious to lips

just longing to meet

in soft little sips

The sun was a fire

through clouds of whip cream

‘til fervent desire

in a sky of dreams

faded into the mist

of twilights soft threat

Yes, we would have kissed

had the sun not set

The kiss that never happened, but was oh so wanted,
and more than likely by both.....

One never knows when the opportunity may arise again,
don't let it pass by without exploring the possibilities.

The softest expression
of love is felt
when wanting lips
together melt.

XOXO ;}

Its never to late for a kiss my sweet. We could meet at mid night under a romantic moon.

Too much, too little, too late? Your words flow so easily and are velvety soft....though filled with regret. A joy to read, Julie. Lydi**
