Heartbreak World

My heart is breaking

slowly aching

my eyes are dead

staring blankly

Soft voice whispering 

hot breath against my ear

"I love you"

why did you have to take it away

why did you have to abandon me

you stole the words from my lips

then those precious words

given away to

her

demon eyes

flirty smile

at least I'm real

she whispers sweetly in your ear

the quiet words echoing in your mind

"I love you too"

I miss the taste of having you

your touch lingers on my cheek 

I miss those words

those heartbreak words

"I love you"

I'm still here

trapped like an animal

in 

my 

heartbreak

world

Right off the back you capture the reader and make them want to read more and know more, and as they continue to read, they see the best part of the poem isn't the beginning. It's the whole thing!

I love this poem and placed it in my favorites. I can also see you making this into a short story as well and think that it would also be great. I see great promise for "Heartbreak World".
