When The Soilders Came Home (revisted)

A Poem by Face In A Crowd
"

It's revisting day! So enjoy~

"
They all went out to say hi,
When the soldiers came home,
But he sat alone confused and upset,
Because Daddy didn't come home.

They all cried, and hugged, and kissed,
When the soldiers came home,
Thoughts rand through his mind,
About why Daddy wasn't home.

Everyone cried tears of joy,
When the soldiers came home,
He tried not to cry out of sadness,
But he felt weak since Daddy didn't come home.

Mommy sighed and said be happy,
When the soldiers came home
He wondered what he had to be happy for
Daddy had promised he'd come home

But Daddy wasn't coming home.
And all the boy could do was cry.
Daddy broke his promise.

When the soldiers came home.

One of the sad results of war...those who don't come home. Even sadder is the loved ones left behind.
Well done!

I guess I write many multiple stories. The story I'm writing now I had the idea for and shared with my friends. They wanted to be in it so I let them in! But I drifted away from the idea. But I guess .. more..
