Who Am I

Who Am I

A Poem by Just Shlomo

Who Am I?

I am...

A whisper

A whisperStraining to be heard Constantly straining to be heard over chaotic criesThe chaotic cries arising from an insatiable insanity An insatiable insanity created through institutionalism

A whisperFloating    freely through a.fast.falling crowd Fast.falling    and      faceless

D i s e m b o d i e d      with a voice

Listening to the passing cries of a failing humanity Cacophonous cries blending together

Blending into a message

A message of human pain A message of human loss A message of human desperation

A message created by a sadistic system suffocating all within it

A sadistic system of stifling thoughts and actions A self important system only able to see its own self-centered wants

A sickly systemUnable to see that the needs of all can be sated Unable to realize that by serving othersThat through serving others you can also serve yourself

Blood fast flowing freely     hot and full of life

Hot blood flowing through my veins Full of life

As it flows through my veins it is singing

It is singing an ancient song A song          That refuses to be forgotten That will never retreat That refuses to end A song that refuses to end its rebellion    Its righteous rebellion against allAll who dare stand in my way

All who Stand in the way of my lofty goals Goals of enlightenment Goals reaching the unity of total peace

I am...

An old soul Here in this limited physical world yet again

An old soul who has been tempered Tempered through repeated immersions of painImmersions arising through seemingly unnecessary trials Trials that were put forth by unneeded institutions Trails that were put forth in an attempt to make me submit Trails that were put forth to defer realization The realization of an overdue enlightened truth An enlightened truth that threatens the frail stagnancy of complacence

I am..

A threat to a failed mode of societal operation A mode of operation based upon a false premiss built of decadent deceptions  A false premiss   gleaming with pyrite promises  A premiss that keep incessantly insisting   That in order for us to be happy and successful In order for us to be happy and successful it is only by following its self-serving terms

Tedious terms set and defined by disembodied institutions

Insane institutions whose growing power is based upon a corrupted system A system strengthened through disunity and  separation amongst all who would stand against itSeparation and disunity  all manufactured to allow the actualization of a cancerous ideal

This cancerous ideal that is touted as The cure The cure for all the myriad ills of the world Ills percolating from the bile spilling out of the very institutions claiming to help

I am...

A whisper gradually growing

Gradually growing into a righteous rebel yell

A rebel yell savagely shouted for all to hear Shouted for all to hear from upon the roof tops Strongly shouted  sent out for the masses to realize To finally realize that they have been wearing blinders Blinders placed there by those seeking only to further their own internal interest  These infernal institutions seeking To further their own interest at whatever cost Whatever cost they deem necessary

They are willing to pay any cost Just as long it is not their pocket that the true payment comes from As long as they They are not the ones to pay the true cost The true cost arising from their greed

I am... I am the selfish voice of selflessness  I am the confused voice of reasoning I am the joyful voice of pain I am the timeless voice of time I am the unspoken voice of all and nothing

Who I am is nothing Nothing in the face of what I must do

Who I am has no barring on what I stand for  Even thought who I am dictates what I stand for

I am my own selfless embodiment An embodiment of my own selfish ideals

I am...

A conflicted soul One foot in the realm of the spirt The otherTrapped Held back by the pressing needs and endless wants of the physical
