The Dreamer

The Dreamer

A Poem by Justine Mclatchie
"

Loss and longing in greatest strife.

"

The Dreamer, he who is shadowed by desire, his words a beauty, the ancient language of old, the ancient words of romance. The lady mother earth suffers and we with her. She is lost in love, her heart heavy with loss, as her lover has left for the sea, he is now in Poseidon's whim. The ancient light of the lady sun his only hope of returning. Now the lady earth perishes all around her, she waits patient like Hades for his beloved Persephone to return from Mount Olympus.

Now the lady Sun, her heart heavy, burdened by her weakness of love, suffering in the whim of an old age romance with the lyrical words. She and all are coated in romance and living words of past and present. An aura, it is not yet definite, it just is, a distant promise , unsaid and untold but known.
