A Collective Tribe Poem

A Collective Tribe Poem

A Poem by KWP

waves of uniquity

circle the everywhen

and so, the choices belong to us

accept the glorious beauty of the universe

knowing in our own unique singularity

we are, each of us different

at the same time

we are the zoetic whole

a wholeness full of constant change,

in this state

the everywhen pulses further afield

into the new the unchartered

(can you picture it in your minds eye?)

we all can be pioneers

if we so choose

if we dare to be different,

whichever direction we decide to slosh

first we must step outside

embrace all that is, with an

openhearted enquiry

if you choose to be a pioneer

(and you should, you really should)

you must be prepared for the

everywhen - in all of it’s

mishaps, brokenness, unfulfilled dreams,

you must be prepared for

the let downs, the lessons and the

blatant knowingness, that in this reality

your tribe is human and

humanness in it’s own unique perfection

shall never be perfect

show me the perfect human and I will

scream ‘OUR TRIBE IS DONE FOR!’

show me instead, in your acceptance of all, and the

depth of your knowingness for the capacity of

unending love and I know,

our tribe is on good hands

I love the title as much as I love your insightful poem. I echo everything Jacob said. I loved this line ‘humanness in it’s own unique perfection’ brilliantly said..

This was wonderful, fantastic...not simply in depth but in between the lines, in the implications of the entirety. We can never be one until we realize that each is one and we can never appreciate the wholeness of the oneness until we learn to accept the individual uniqueness that makes each of us one. Our DNA attests to the truth. Our fingerprints and ideas, our dreams and aspirations. I hope we can someday come to accept that our individuality is our only true freedom and then we won't need to lump each other together into pigeonholed compartments designed for the slave mentality that serves the prejudice of its own making. I enjoyed the read.

I have raised two boys who sing the mantra you have written above … it is a parent thing …
I agree my friend.
"show me the perfect human and I will
scream ‘OUR TRIBE IS DONE FOR!’"
The logic of your words is the problem, we have today. Life is moving and changing daily. Thank you for sharing the amazing poetry.

well my dear friend! historically there is one who was/is perfect before the Almighty Creator of the everywhen ;) Jesus Christ .. and knowing Him we will know for a certainty of our "perfect imperfection" as a tribe ... really like the read ... is as deep as ever you write says i! i like the clarity of this one .. such a simple theme really but we do make the Way cluttered and difficult for ourselves .. all different .. all inclusive .. all so differently the same ;)))))))))))))))))))))) love it .. so nice when you share Elizabeth .. right here at the Cafe' ...luv ya!

dear KWP…. Tribes are traditional… we are Artistic in heart-felt Symphonies…. sharing the Comforts of Sunrise and Sunset paintings brushed with colors of Rainbow hues. We share a Spirit that provides a Shelter for the Weary travelers. Lovely Poetry with Sighs. tenderly, Pat

We are all humans but each one of us is unique; Let's open ourselves to exploration of this magnificent universe; none of us is perfect, but we can move forward and change; Which may mean stepping outside of our little box and open our minds to more things, journeys, writing, thinking. Remember we're never perfect and never will be, but that's okay. We are part of the good tribe.
Nice!
Best, Betty

Very well done. I especially liked,
"humanness in it’s own unique perfection
shall never be perfect" ---
Someone once told me, if mankind were perfect then what would they need a God for?

I can picture it...I certainly can picture it.
I think perfection will be acceptance of others...that is what will be perfect.
How the hell hard is it to love others, to let them in...
we all have hearts inside of us...we need to use them for more than breathing...
we need to allow them to touch others.
