The Ache

The Ache

A Poem by Kae Martyndale

Listless and

Lethargic
Am I

A stone shell
But still
Exposed

A desperate need
To crouch like
A fetus

I wish the world
Would simply
Melt away

At least today

The dull ache
That I can’t
Shake

Resides
Within
My skin

And I can’t
Help but
Wonder

How long one
Can dwell

In hell

I agree with Clockwork completely. Very well written, and I like how the stanzas are short like that.

Reminds me of a tool song through the first half of the piece. Your ideas and word choices are good. The short stanzas and lines show the flow of life, and you do indeed flow well.

Reality around you becomes more of a hell, and you can't seem to find a normal escape route. This is awsome, I like it. Short, broken up sentinces, recreated into a phrase. Different, good.
