Her Name is Pillow

Her Name is Pillow

A Poem by Jordan
"

A short bit of writing written about a very special friend of mine.

"
Her Name is Pillow
____________________________________________

Her name is Pillow.

She is beautiful, soft, and caring.

She is a shoulder to cry on, and an ear to listen.

She is the perfect fit for my arms to wrap around.

She holds my head at night, and comforts me as I sleep.

She is accepting that I must spend my days away from her, but waits patiently because she knows that I am hers in the end.

She does all of this without asking anything in return.

Her name is Pillow, and I love her.

Her name is Pillow, and she loves me.

I apologize if this doesn't qualify as a prose poem, but I wasn't sure what else to classify it as. It isn't exactly a story.

I really liked it..And actually everything thing you said was so true for me...It is a kind of poem with a concept that is so different...And actually I felt that may be it was a free verse poem..But that actually doesn't matters ..What matters is that you wrote it..
Keep on writing...

I enjoyed reading this... it could be interpreted in more than one way. Very creative. I will be reading more of your work.

I love it! It seems like such a happy and simple poem but I feel there is much more depth. It feels like a love poem with the name omitted.

Ditto what Ella said about it being a poem...Just write, NEVER worry about its structure or what so-called educated poetry experts will say. I have on my profile, "I don't want to sound like I studied poetry... I want to sound like I studied LIFE."
I LOVED this. It's really a clever piece...Didn't EVERYONE feel this way at one time? Even the stores now sell "body pillows" for this purpose. They are longer and fit the wrapping of legs also.
Genius! Thanks for sharing this 100.

Hhaha a very amusing piece. Though I understand it's about a person.

Thank you.
I think it is a poem if you want it to be. What you call it doesn't matter. What you write is more important and what you wrote is great. I like it's very nice and dare I say cute. Reminds me of when I was younger. You did an amazing job and I can definitely relate.
