Hypocrites Live Here

Hypocrites Live Here

A Poem by Kaitlyn Raiford

Welcome to our land of freedom-
We treat all as if the same.
Welcome to this America,
Leave your home and leave your name.

Welcome, come and see the attention
That we give to flags and drugs.
Leave behind your friends and family,
Because your past is not enough.

Goodbye with old. hello to new!
The w****s line down the street.
They're offering you a needle-
But you must buy the bed you sleep.

Your children are sending nudes to men
That they'll most likely never meet-
And the boys are losing their virginities
Along with promises they'll never keep.

Forget the books, throw away the logic-
We all did some time ago.
Come and join us in this beautiful land-
As long as you're willing to let go.

Author's Note

Kaitlyn Raiford
I am not saying that all aspects of America is bad- but I did point out some. Like Churchill once said- it sucks, but it sucks the least.
