For Her

For Her

A Poem by Adrika

She is lonely, she is depressed, She is hesitant to get out of the bed; and face the cruel world everyday. A world that is ready to pounce on her- unfriendly and inconsiderate. Earlier she used to feel weak and alone. But now she is strong; Strong enough to flash a smile- one that outshines her misty eyes--- To bite her lips and go on through life As if nothing had happened.

Beautifully written I've sensed strong pathos and the quality of each crafted line speaks high volumes of how each day hits us like a train as I like to say. I loved the line "But now she is strong;
Strong enough to flash a smile-
one that outshines her misty eyes>." Even though pain is understood here but in different ways to describe cause someone else's pain is highly misunderstood when trying to explain only you feel it. But this poem opens up more avenues to drive in changing lanes in life yet still feel lost in a way. Marcus Aurelius said once " No one can implicate me in ugliness . But I have seen the beauty of good and the ugliness of evil and have recognized that the wrong doer has a nature related to my own, not of the same blood or birth but the same mind and possessing a share of the divine." Keep writing sincerely your friend in writing and life :)
