Live Free

A Poem by Kala Benfield
"

Be a leader, not a follower. Don't die without doing something you've always wanted to do.

"
Puree your heart.
let the pieces be free.
With all of my love,
don't forget to breathe.

Although you may fail,
somethings are meant
to be.
To forsake your temper,
your train to derail.

In any sort of praise
I give to you.
I let our love be free,
'Cause I was the one
you chose to save.

I refrained from clenching
my fists and knocking the
beauty away.
I refrained from dreaming
in such a dark, metallic
wave.

Drowning each individual.
Growing in the living water.
I must refrain from calling
you and letting it falter.

I crave, and listen to such
a sweet kiss.
As if two palms were two
destined lips;
howling to be a savor
for something.
To be much more then
what others call
nothing.

I cringe and spit.
In nothing more then
an unholy pit.
Your chains drag, and
reveal such an awful scent.
But I love, and love again.
more then a thousand men
can repent.

I bid more then
a gambler can lose
his house.
I see when you die,
with the blood on
my blouse.

I carried you away,
making every bone break.
Ruthless am I.
But for what ?
I'll never die.

People sometimes like to be the followers because it's easier to shut down your mind and do as others say. But they actually waste their whole lives by doing that.
Imagery is very strong in this poem, and is very well described.
I like it a lot! Awesome job.

She never die because she believes in angels and the light always there. Your poem is so wonderful as always. Thanks for sharing.
