Its Been a Long Day.

This isn't so much a poem about the content, but I wanted to try something structural. Thats why theres a lot of repetition and such. Though, I think it turned out nicely, in both aspects.

Can you smile?
Broken hearted, straying
Away from life as a whole, no more.
Can't you just stay today?
Just for a day.

Can you try?
Broken hearted, melting
Away from society as we know it.
Why don't you care now?
Just try for me.

Can you love?
Broken hearted, trying
To make your life worse than it is.
Having a terrible time dying.
Just love to be.

Can you kill?
Broken hearted, longing
For the touch of someone better than you.
You know you can't have it.
Just keep going.

Can you die?
No longer broken hearted.
Sick of trying to impress life, and love.
You don't want it anymore.
Just waiting.

You aren't there.
Everything you once had,
You left it all alone, nothing to live for now.
And you know you've done well.
It's suicide.
