The battle inside a person's mind

My mind is toxic

Thoughts are static

Everything you want, I don't got it

So I hide my hurt with how I act.

I speak in curses

riddled verses

of chaos inside a empty void

My heart is old

but my mind is cold

from the many who used it as a toy

My soul wants to give

but my mind wants to take

Heart wants to live

but brain wants to hate

With this dark mind

I lock the pain inside

So no one knows how frail I am

My in my depths

I'm feel as much pain as the rest

But I try to keep it within.

The safety of dark mind can close some doors. Hard to hold all things in and protected. Nice flow of thoughts left the reader with something to think about. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.

Thank you. That is a lot of what its like, sometimes my mind and soul feel at battle with one another. My soul being loving and kind, but my mind is angry and hateful. Its like being two people in one body sometimes.
