The Dreaded Silence

The Dreaded Silence

A Poem by Zakkarias Astrophel
"

I am hiding things from myself and never realized it........

"
In the silent parts of the world
I see things I don't wish to see
In the blankets I am curled
And I lose all sense of glee

The silence is loud
it hurts my ears
I see a crowd
Taking all I hold dear

I run to them
I try to scream
but nothing comes out
not a thing

I run faster
I pull at the people
Their skin is like plaster
Their eyes as sharp as steeples

They look down
And all I see
Are hundreds of faces
That look just like me
