Red Dye Number 36

Red Dye Number 36

A Poem by KatDarkness
"

mad random poem. . .

"

Spiders with blades for legs glow as they writhe

Into the glass tunnels of my heart, and

Drain all the feelings with their needle

Tongues.

Miserable crystal people shatter into

Oceans of blood; a game of

Hangman deep within a mirror

Dungeon block.

When the time is right the

Serpent strikes; tongue forked like a

Bolt of lightning in a

Bullet chamber.

You used very tired metaphores here. The "glass heart", the "forked tongue", "lightning", a "bullet". All of these are nothing special in and of themselves to consider. Yet, as you built this write, you used these images to feel more and to become a new picture within the minds eye.
You pulled this off with remarkable freshness! Good job.
