Empty Impact

Empty Impact

A Poem by KatDarkness
"

written in a state of sleep-deprived boredom

"

Falling between crashing waves of

Deep, destructive, charming pain, while

Everything around me ends and

Zealot angels start to cheer.

The spotlight settles on his face, his

Eyes are closing in an ectasy of

Agony, you're a rough diamond,

Flawed right to the very core.

Faces flicker in this neon chamber,

Spitting poison in our eyes, the stars

Freeze over with the hatred of a

Thousand souls.

My face is torn apart, in mirror impact,

Bloody work of art.

Onlooker, twist your broken halo through

The empty caverns of my heart

Very intriguing and eloquent with a sense of dark vivid imagery to convey the underlying message within your poem. Great work. An enjoyable read from start to finish. :)
