Evolved Into Nothing

Evolved Into Nothing

A Poem by KatDarkness

I like to watch you fall before a god who doesn't care,

Are you his Eve or are you Rosaline? Forgotten, discarded in a

Seizure of vanity, pretty pictures, disgusting society,

This is no world for ugly people.

Torn apart in The Machine, you try to

Cheat a system you don't understand while the

Higher Power turns his head away and sends you a

Plague of vacant posing and diet pills.

Plastic people, you lie to us and yourselves,

Seduce us with your glamour, 'cause our minds have

Evolved to synthetic diamonds; needle goes in and nothing hurts

Anymore.
