Hyperpyrexia

Hyperpyrexia

A Poem by KatDarkness

I'm all drugged into heavenly disarray,

A million sicknesses gnawing on my bones;

As compulsive as bulimia, supressed

Like anorexia; a manic sky glares,

Catseyes and stars; I'm wrapped in cosmic nightmares

And pyrexia.

Blood heats up and skin burns crimson, I'm a mistake

Of biology, my head is full of broken dreams, my

Medication is running low, I am raw and

Exposed, withering in the light and fluorescence.

Bury me where it's cool and unresponsive,

I'm too tired to exist.

Thank you :D Good to see you too :)
What a perplexing position the last line surrenders to. I was was in a similar self induced state but in the end decided to live. The rhythm is right. The subject is powerful and provoking.
