Wrote this in college about 5 years ago about a guy.

You said that you would never leave
Me here alone but then you left and
Never looked back into my eyes that
Were filling with tears watching as
You walked away into a life of something else.

The life I lead will never be the same as
You were a part of it and I don't think I
Can go on until I tell you how I felt when you
Left me here alone with my tears that fall every night
Thinking about what could have been and what
Will never be again.

The love I had for you will never be
Obtained by another as you were
The love that I will never forget and will
Cherish for the rest of my days as I go on
Thinking about the times that we had together.

I wish that you had never left me here alone.
I wish that I could tell you one more time
How it feels to know that you will never come back
To hold me, to love me, to tell me that I'm beautiful.
Death of a soldier, death of a friend, death of a lover
Is the death of me.
