Soul-mates

 Soul-mates

You are the one, who touched my soul,

the one who knows his role.

You are the one, who grasps my steps where ever I might be,

remains as shadow in the dark until I care to see.

You are the second one to me, all over my affairs,

the one who always waits for me at the bottom of the stairs.

But the one I love is always there, a step ahead of me.

He’s stretching out his hands and tries to lift me up,

He is the one, who always figures out the key,

the one who bought the Yorkie-pup.

The one I love is pushing me and always pushes me high.

He is the one who let me go and knows that I won’t stay.

He always takes me as I’m - no need to justify.

Whatever I don’t like to do, he always clears my way.

The one I love won’t go away, no matter - what I do.

He never treats me like a queen, since I’m his favourite mate.

He never writes a song to me (that - is done by you)

and when the moon is coming out, he sleeps until its fade.

You are a second one of me; you are my better part,

the one who fights so desperately to get into my heart.

You are the one, who’s showing me the world’s unearthly sound.

the one who always is afraid to hit its solid ground.

You are the only one so far, whoever touched my soul.

Alas, you are the lonely one, who doesn’t want to know;

that life is only kind to those, who are facing up the day,

and never turning back again, no matter what they say.

This moved me; it has a universal appeal, in that each any every one of us can feel - can believe - that there is someone who there who wants to say that to us. There is nothing esoteric about it.

The use of italics at certain points gives it emphasis, as if it is a song and these lines would be your chorus.

I look forward to reading more of your work.
