The Perfect Pair

The Perfect Pair

A Poem by Kathryn Amanda Reel

Written 10-9-11 for my Aunt and Uncle's 30th Anniversary

Star struck lovers
Together for the longest
Hard ships never made a storm
They make the pair
Prom queen
Prom king
Damzel in distress
Detective man to the rescue
Happy days
Sadness never slowed them
Only made them faster
Growing old and gray together
30 Seconds
30 minutes
30 hours
30 days
30 weeks
30 months
30 years
30 decades
30 centuries
30 millenia
They will always be together
Through sickness and in health
Through good times and in bad
They get stronger each passing second
Making new generations
And happy memories everyday
they truly are the perfect pair
Today, Tomorrow, and Always
