Simple Simplicity.

Simple Simplicity.

A Poem by Kay Salisu Titilola
"

"

Simplicity makes seeking simple,
simplifying several single sample.
Complex contest congests calmness,
creating collision, causing crampedness.

Life lived, loving lustrous lots
later lost in looming luxurous loss.
Earning enough is ever just enough,
living simply is ever worth enough.

There seems to be a trend at the cafe to take alliteration to the limit. Back in the old days, it was not considered artful to do this. We were always warned not to overdo alliteration & so it's hard for me to like poems done this way. But I must say that your word choices are thoughtful & varied, so that despite the slightly heavy feeling of having so much alliteration, the meaning does come thru as being original & interesting & thought-provoking. The trouble with too much of anything (& I'm guilty of over-rhyming), the wordplay blots out the meaning of your message. But you make it clear this is more about playing with words, so it's all good. You've paid equal attention to wordplay AND meaning here (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

There is wisdom in the words my friend.
"Earning enough is ever just enough,
living simply is ever worth enough."
I know many who have everything. Fighting to keep-up. I have enough and I can enjoy my life. Thank you Kay for sharing the outstanding poetry.

An interesting piece of alliterative poetry conveying an important message that we should be thankful for simple things.

A lot of alliteration in this one. Basically, what I think the poet is saying is that complexity detracts from the joy of life. Living simply prevents complication and stress.

Whatever is more than enough has become abnormal. And abnormal things create confusion.

My pleasure🌹
Great alliteration here Kay. I am a firm believer in the simple things in life give the greatest pleasure. Appreciate the small things and then we can tackle the complex with better understanding.

That's true, Chris.
Thank you very much for your thoughtful response.
Love the mix of alliteration and rhyme, and the fact that your syllable count and rhyme scheme mirror the simplicity of the message!!!

A nursery rhyme of alliteration here. ☺️☺️

Thank you for your wonderful review and kind words, Verse.
I really appreciate it.
simple is always better in the end...complexity creates confusion...
you really have some nice alliteration in this...
as you seek simple subtext that sublimely serves its supposition.

Thank you so much for your wonderful thoughtful review, Sir Jacob.
Word play with meaning is not always easy to achieve. You did it here. The message on the virtues of simplicity is clear. Good one.
