Singularity

Singularity

A Poem by Kay Salisu Titilola
"

....

"
Bring together blue, green and red,
and that perfect white comes to live.
Make a sound of no sameness,
and it'll become a danceable Melody.

Same attitude with no differences
would only make life a tasteless dish.
Our singularity isn't in our similarities
but in the togetherness of our differences.

This is a wonderful concept, Kay. If we could come to a place where we collectively see the beauty and value in difference the world would definitely make great gains.

Innovation comes from the mind outside the fold looking for new ways to approach the world and its problems. But on a more basic level, life is interesting because we all have something unique to teach one another.

Great message in this. I’m glad you decided to share.

Well done. I especially like how you ended it... very insightful. People who want everyone or everything to be more or less the same are the most boring creatures in the history of creatures. I'm glad you felt like sharing this.

Thank you so much the powerful review, Dave.
I really appreciate that powerful review.
In one of lifes many coincidences Kay, I have just reviewed Neville Pettitt's indecently yours, and said that the world would be such a monotonous place to live if we all did/think/say/write the same.
If we only had one flavour, i bet it would be something so disgustingly boring that it would make vanilla taste like a party in our mouths.
Sadly, the irony is lost on some, that we want to be both unique and the same, to be included and our own man. Having our cake and eating it... But what else would you do with a cake other than eat it. It always tastes better shared.
If only more felt the same. Now, where did i put that cake? 😀

Thank you for that powerful and insightful review, Lorry.
I really appreciate it.
Such a rich poem, Kay. I commend you for how you've used a word to draw our attention to a deeper meaning. Yes, we're all one and stronger when we see our differences as strengths and pieces to one beautiful big puzzle. Exceptional write, Kay.

You’re welcome.
Very well said Kay. They say no two snowflakes are identical and neither are humans, that is as it should be.
Things would get boring quickly if everyone thought like me.

That's exactly it, Ted.
Thank you so much for that additional point.
i think the philosophy in this is absolutely sound....
if we were all the same it would be pretty boring...and that goes for inside and out...
differences make us all beautiful as one people.
artful portrait painted here.

Kay Salisu Titiola,
Oh yes, how very true. We find the interest the joy in others within our differences.
So much of your poem I found encouraging. Differing colors, but when brought together
create a beautiful palette to create a finished work of art.
'Bring together blue, green and red
and that perfect white comes to live.'
Let us find inspiration in contrasts of life, relationships and experience!
Blessings,
Kathy

Kay,
I wish you the same and I hope you have a productive weekend.
I love the last two lines! Very powerful and yes indeed we should all celebrate our differences - because that is indeed the spice of life. A very smart and important poem indeed!
