Hello Mister Willy Mill

Hello Mister Willy Mill

A Poem by Kay Salisu Titilola
"

Hello Mister Willy Mill
Hear the song the city sings
You've become a greedy being
doing sort of silly things.

You took every money box
standing on the country worth
suffering all the mourning poor
heating them like burning pot.

People died, you called it fun
People cried, you dance to it.
In your house you sleep and snore
when we have no chance to sleep.

All the land is full of thorn
to survive we must be strong.
No more garden, no more wall
We are fully unsecured.

Life is running fast in time
You'll soon be cast behind
We chose you to save our world.
But there you are to take our lives.

It is a dog eat dog world out there
Currently, China has retaliated against a legal move made by Canada, answering a USA request, to hold a Chinese Business leader, to be extradited into the US and investigated for her companies wrongdoings,
As retaliation, China arrested two Canadian businessmen who have been rotting in prison ever since, while everybody plays legal games
Has trade diminished as a form of protest by Canada
I guess you know that answer
It is all about money

Corruption. Sadly it's all around us and there are some parts of the world where I know foreign aid is not reaching the poor people it was intended for. Instead financing a lavish lifestyle for those who have power while their people bleed. Keep safe Kay in these challenging times.

My first impression of your message is to think about how the rich corporate powers, here in the USA, rule the country, while the everyday people sink further & further into poverty. We have no middle class anymore -- it's only the "have's" and the "have-not's". But then I read Ted's review & I have to agree with him as well. Recently I've read many books about how the colonial powers of the world have raped all the other people's & countries, skimming off all that's valuable without investing anything in the people or the countries they are pillaging. Sorry I didn't know this was happening, all my life, & my country (USA) is as bad as any other in this regard. I love the fresh inventive way you present this age-old problem . . . this could apply to any situation where there's someone with power & someone who's an underdog. This is bright & honest, without being a downer or filled with blame. This is just saying -- this is how it is. Leaving the reader to interpret how good or bad it may be. Some see nothing wrong with the strong coming out on top -- like it's the natural order of things (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

Africa ... the cradle of civilization ... and yet the so-called civilized world has turned it's back on her.
Your words resonate and should be read widely.
Trust no one Kay ...not the Chinese ... not the Brits or big oil ... and surely not the Yanks.
The world declared Africa to be the Dark Continent ... not because of skin colour but because so much of it was unexplored.
Writers and poets can enlighten and educate, but it can be dangerous.
Keep writing ... be safe.

My friend. Here in the USA. Yesterday Biden supported Saudi Arabia with guns and money against Yemen. Biden went with the money. USA support Israel attacking Gaza. USA went with the money. The world must learn and Africa had. USA had no concern for the poor in their country and the world.
"Life is running fast in time
You'll soon be cast behind
We chose you to save our world.
But there you are to take our lives."
You asked the right questions my friend in the above statement. Africa must save herself. Powerful and worthwhile words shared my friend.
