We can, together.

We can, together.

A Poem by Kay Salisu Titilola
"

All we need is love to
stand strong together
as one.
not all
these hatred and wars that only claims a lot from us.
Killing  and  raping,  with  slavery  and  segregation,
let us not allow these or  racism to destroy our world.
You may be white          and                      I am black.
She is coloured                                           or he is an
Indian. None of                                      these matters
if we can see
ourselves as one.
As brothers, as
sisters, as people                                              of
a world where                                                peace,
love and harmony                                       can reign
and bring joy back                                     to us like a
drop of water                                                 rolling
down the throat
of a thirty man.
What a relief would
that bring! Kindness
brightens a sad face
it could save millions
from ending their own lives.

I agree my friend.
"Kindness
brightens a sad face
it could save millions
from ending their own lives. "
The above lines, we must do. We need to lead with concern, kindness and listen. Would be a better world. Thank you Kay for sharing the outstanding poetry.

I am adventurous, and I think the technique adds some meaning to the main idea.
There is a natural divide when we are judgmental.
Segregation isn’t fun and is never a perfect picture.
I wish people ask themselves what color of air they breath in every time they let tribe, race, sex, religion color cloud their judgement.

That was a powerful perspective, Sarah.
I really wish people would.

Thank you Kay,
You inspired that perspective
I agree with sentiments in this one, but tribalism is as old as humanity. Love alone can contain it, but love must have desire behind it.

I just wish people would understand that the world can be a safer and beautiful place to live.

If we could embrace the golden rule to love our neighbor as ourself how much better life would be. I don't know when people will see past skin and see the true beauty of each soul.

Exactly!
The world is too blind to see the beauty in diversity.

While there are one or two spelling mistakes, your poem is remarkably beautiful. You and your poem have the power to change society on a small level, as do I, and anyone. Maybe if enough people think like you do, change will be possible. I'm glad to know that there are people like you, who are kind. I particularly like the structure of your poem to support your statement, the shape of a water faucet. Thank you for sharing.
