Sailing Siblings

Sailing Siblings

A Poem by Kay Salisu Titilola
"

....

"
Sibilant Siblings
Seven siblings sailing south,
stripping stories, singing songs.
Something sudden strongly struck,
something saucy, squally sourced.
"Slumpy sunken!" Sarah cried,
Stephen struggled sitting calm,
Santa stumbled, Silas strived,
sighting Cephas spitting spout.
Swaying crawler's sinking fast;
scrambling, crumbling, swinging-swipe.
Sammy slided slumped and slamped,
screaming, slurring, seeking stance.
Silent Simeon staved off and stooped,
citing something slowly,
then, storm stopped.

Thank you for the kind words.
Alliteration could be addictive sometimes.
A bouquet of soft sounding alliteration Kay. Something quite different from your pen, but fun to read. Your seven siblings reminded me that I was one of five, though my brother Stephen has flown.

Well the title says a lot. Definitely movement in sailing.
What is fun here is your form but it is so lively.
These siblings are sure having a time of it! Great names too'

Glad you like it, Kathy.
I don't think I've ever seen this much alliteration in a single poem. I think the storm stopped just in time.

Yes, it did.
Thank you so much for the review.
I think there is possibly some alliteration in this...:))))

I find it quite amusing as it rolls off the tongue of the reader...
I was disappointed when the storm stopped.
I have just one sibling...and I would like her to sail away.
