Crown

Crown

A Poem by Kuda-kwa-Ishe

Forgotten is her beauty
Forgotten is her royalty
She accepts being treated otherwise for she's desperate

Unable to stop crying
Afraid of the loneliness that could haunt her
And so she claims "love" to the first that brings her the illusion of happiness...

Words have no affect on her anymore
Cautious of the wolves that hunger
But her caution shells her from truth

She craves for love
Though surrounded by it
For it doesn't come from the source she needs

Lost in her own world
Chasing values beneath her level
Forgetting her throne in the process.
The one that can save her left the crown
But the crown still awaits for her on the throne
