Inner beauty increases with time, outer beauty fades. Lessons taught from my Dad who thought we should all nurture our soul from an early age. It's what's inside that counts, I can hear him saying that now. Having said that in this day and age, we appear to be living in times of lust where the value of inner beauty is not recognised as much. Interesting and thought provoking lines dear Kelly. So right are you- so many confuse the two sadly - love is such a dear thing to me i cannot replace it with anything else id rather die than pretend there is no such thing- the truth of life is love saught by few and found by only those true to heart- take care and keep warm🌹

I love your message & your sporadic rhyming style (even tho my rhymes are regimented, I admire poets who can rhyme with a carelessness like you do). Not only does outer beauty fade, but also our bodies become decrepit, right when we finally start to get the point of really living life with purpose. Your poem reminds me of how female musical artists cannot go on just their talent alone, most must put on a big show of a*s-twerking, etc, which really makes me sad.
