In Transit

In Transit

A Poem by Ken e Bujold

Still winter, my tan sends me a postcard

from some Tiki bar in Thailand.

Having a great time, wishing you well,

the b*****d writes. I take notes

on the weather here, the geese

making plans for a run on the border.

Wary though I am of those bloody honkers,

I'm desperate enough, I'd fly budget

if I have to, even freight

if it gets me and my tan reunited

blitzed bronzed and braised

on a beach before spring

in some Tiki bar.
