yet you don't seem to care.
I would cry out to you,
only to receive your blank stare.

I would struggle just to comfort you.
a gift you never returned in kind.
and now I'm the one fighting to come to.

I was never of worth in your mind.
oh what a terrible feeling.
and now we are to be forgotten by time.

I feel incomplete, like a room with no ceiling.
and as the rain pours in, I feel the torturous wear and tear.
I wish you'd realized I was just a human being...
