A Pop of the Color Blue

A Pop of the Color Blue

A Poem by kera moondust

Last one for the evening.

People always tell me on

                Gloomy days

"Be sure you grab

                Your umbrella"

It’s never been quite so chilly

It’s as cold as the ice

                In your winter time gaze

I would’ve thought

                It was

With all this

                                Keep in mind darling

                                I hate the cold

It’s washed away

All this summers

                Dust storms

And muddied

                All the waters

                                Near by

Does this mean it muddied

                Your eyes?

I like walking streets

                On gloomy days

                                Even when I

Forget my umbrella

                                Against all my better judgment

The rain whispers stories

Into my ears

                Scarred from a different

                                Rainy day

In September

I guess I have a lot to say

But no words

On days they have decided are

                Much like today

So maybe next time

I’ll take that advice

                And I won’t forget

Just make me a promise

That it can save

                The rain from muddying

                                Your ocean blue eyes

Because they’re just an all too needed

                Pop of blue

In this world I see in

                Nothing but

                And white
