Liar, Liar

Liar, Liar

A Poem by Kerrigan
"

Something I typed up today because I got upset...

"

Liar, liar, here we go again!
You think you're so sneaky,
But I saw you back then!
You lied and lied to get off for free,
Playing all your friends,
How far can this be?
Liar, liar, you think you can fool me,
My heart is partly shattered,
Because you lied to me!
My trust is out the window,
Our friendships on the floor,
Trampled and bruised is the inside of me.
I just want to know how long will it be?
Liar, liar, when will you stop?
Why can't you see the wrongs that you do,
Is it because you know them too well,
Or is it because you never cared to tell?
Liar, liar, you're hurting yourself the most,
For when all breaks loose you won't have any help,
Liar, liar, guess who found out?
All your friend are digested and theres no way out!
You lied to get through everything,
Now you made the mess that they bring,
So who will you blame?
For your selfish act,
Liar, liar, you'll always be the same.

I'd like to make a few suggestions, if I may...

"You lied and lied to get off for free,
Playing all your friends,
How (far) can this be?"

* far would read better as (fair)

"Trampled and bruised (is the inside) of me."

* hard to roll this off one's tongue. may i suggest something like
'trampled and bruised is what you've left me' or
'trampled and bruised is all that's left of me'

I find writing when angry really helps clear the heart and soul.
A job well done.

Thank you for sharing your poem with us.

Very powerful poem. We've all known this person and wanted to call them out. I've often wondered why they choose to lie? It only creates more pain and heartache in the long run...

This is an amazing poem.

We've all been lied to at points in our lives.

The worst is when its by someone close.

I'd have to agree with the person who commented first, it does help.

Again, fantastic job.

I love this poem. Liars are the worst. I've been lied to recently by someone I love very much and I'm not sure how to deal, and this poem helps.
