I hate the way people pray for me
I hate the fact that they all care for me
I hate the way they always save
I hate the way they put in the light
But never drown in a darkness

I love the way people pray for me
I love the fact that they all care for me
I love that way they always save me
I love the way they put me in light
But never drown in the darkness

One of the more thought-provoking poems I've read lately. Very interesting juxtaposition of ideas. I also hate the way people pray for me becuz it often reveals how much they truly believe that I'm a lost soul, becuz their praying is so obvious, that they consider me beneath them, not a bit pious, needing to be saved. But despite their judgmental & inadequate praying, it's all about how God responds, not how fallible humans act. In my beliefs, God always responds with love, & any kind of awkward praying evokes His love. Your probing message piques many kinds of ideas besides this, too (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie
