She's There

She's There

A Poem by Kevin Holloway

As the sun sets

He sits next to her

Bedstead

And until it returns

He'll be there holding

Hands

In her eyes

Play their wonderful life

Together

And he sits pearing

Into the story they're

Telling

Wipe your tears boy

She's going to a better place

And she'll be there to embrace

You when the time comes

So wipe those tears away

And give her your smile

To hold on to.

And with the link of their eyes

She is swept to the heavens

And through the link of their love

Each step will be taken together

The dew of morning

Gives a waking chill to his

Heart

And the heat pours

From his lost and lonely

Soul

Wipe your tears boy

She's gone to a better place

And now don't go and race

To see peer into her eyes again

But wipe those tears away

Look up and know

That she's there

She'll be your guiding angel

She'll lead you through

You'll look up to her, and before

You know it, will be at the gate.
